Calm, not chaotic
Expectations set early, communication at every milestone, and problems prevented instead of managed. A loan should run quietly in the background.

The story
Jordan De Jong started on the business side of mortgages — helping loan officers build referral networks and understand what agents actually need from a lender. Then he got licensed himself.
His timing was, by any normal measure, terrible. Jordan began originating loans right as rates ran up, when every first closing was slow, stressful, and full of surprises for buyers who had planned around a different market. Most people would call that bad luck. Jordan calls it the best training he could have gotten.
It taught him the thing he builds everything around now: set expectations early, communicate at every milestone, and prevent problems instead of managing them after they show up. It also taught him what real estate agents are actually asking when they size up a lender — will this close, and will I have to chase you? — and he answers both before they ask.
Today Jordan works with buyers across Minnesota and western Wisconsin — first-time buyers, move-up families, single-family homes through four-unit buildings — from Fairway Home Mortgage's Eden Prairie branch. He is a Winona State alum, licensed in both states, and the lender your real estate agent wants on the team.
How Jordan works
Expectations set early, communication at every milestone, and problems prevented instead of managed. A loan should run quietly in the background.
Every term, every trade-off, every number explained simply. If Jordan can't explain it in a sentence, he doesn't ask you to sign it.
If waiting is the better move, Jordan says so. Long-term trust beats a short-term commission — every time.
